About Grand Bahamas
Grand Bahamas is the fourth largest of The Islands of The Bahamas and the second most popular destination among visitors. The western tip of Grand Bahamas, where Bootle Bay Beach Properties at Stone Gate and the settlement of West End is located, is about 55 miles off the Florida coast. The island is approximately 530 square miles and is home to some of the friendliest people in the world.
A favorite of tourists from around the globe. The Bahamas provides a politically and economically stable atmosphere conducive to tourism. Because the value of the Bahamian dollar is directly linked to the value of the American dollar, the exchange rates are favorable to most foreign tourists. And since both the U.S. and Bahamian dollar are accepted throughout the country, tourists can choose either for exchange purposes.
